Summer 2009

This summer's training schedule is a bit unusual, so please review the dates below.

Training will be held this summer at the SARA office from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on the following dates:

June 22nd (Monday) - Session 1, Introductions

June 24th (Wednesday) - Session 2, Gender and Culture

June 29th (Monday) - Session 3, Diversity

July 1st (Wednesday) - Session 4, Types and Effects of Sexual Assault

July 6th (Monday)- Session 5, The Hotline Call

July 13th (Monday) - Session 6, How to Help; Empowerment and Crisis Intervention

July 15th (Wednesday) - Session 7, Legal Concerns and Information

July 20th (Monday) - Session 8, Making Referrals

July 29th (Wednesday) - Session 9, Mental Health

July 30th (Thursday) - Session 10, Medical Accompaniment

August 3rd (Monday) - Session 11, Safety Planning and Self-Care

August 5th (Wednesday) - Session 12, Practice and Send-Off

All Trainees will be expected to attend a minimum of 8 sessions, and are expected to complete shortened make-up sessions with the Trainer.
